"Vancouver Arbutus Lions Club co-hosted the 'Medal of Merit Dinner' on May 4th, 2008 to honor  Dr. Joseph and Rosalie Segal with the Vancouver Chinatown Lions Club.  $69,000 was raised at this high profile fundraising gala held at the Vancouver Westin Bayshore Hotel.  Proceeds will benefit B.C. Cancer Foundation."

	"Vancouver Arbutus Lions Club is proud to sponsor the Vancouver West Leos Club.  This talented and enthusiastic group (from Vancouver private schools) is guided by Leo Advisors Lion Linda Wong and Lion Paul Wong.  December 7, 2007 was the night of induction and installation.  The 44 new members were inducted by Council Chairman Allan Hunt.  District Governor Henry Ng installed the new board of officers with Emily Moon as President 2007-2008.  The guests were entertained by dances, skits and singing by the members of the Vancouver West Leos Club."

On September 9, 2007, Vancouver Arbutus Lions Club donated $1000 to the Chinese Cultural Center Radiothon and Telethon fundraising activity.  Lions Caroline, Ginny, Agnes and Ada presented the cheque to Dr. Miriam Yu, chairperson of Chinese Cultural Center of Greater Vancouver

2004-2005 Past International President Dr. Clement Kusiak and his wife Jeanne was in Vancouver for a vacation.  We had the pleasure of having lunch together at the Point Grey Golf Club and dinner at Kirin Restaurant.  DG Henry Ng and his wife Rita were also present.  Vancouver Arbutus Lions Club chartered during Dr. Clement Kusiak's term when he was International President.
